One 5 mL whole blood collected in royal blue (EDTA), lavender (EDTA), pink (K2EDTA), tan (K2EDTA) top tube.

Transport

1 mL whole blood refrigerated (Min: 0.5 mL)

* Collection Instructions *

  • Transfer 1 mL whole blood to an amber transport tube.
  • Protect from light during collection, storage, and shipment.

Note: Use royal blue top tube when also testing for lead. Specimen should be tested for lead first to avoid potential contamination problems.
