RE: Laboratory Alliance of Central New York Update
As communicated earlier this year, as of January 20, 2024, Crouse Health will be the sole owner of Laboratory Alliance of CNY (LACNY). As the sole owner of LACNY, Crouse Health is solidly committed to building on our partnership, which includes growing and expanding essential lab services and recruiting additional clinical staff to continue enhancing the comprehensive services currently provided to our community. As part of this transition, the Crouse Medical Practice laboratory will now be part of LACNY. With this transaction, there will be no reduction or elimination of employment or services.
In the past few days, there has been some mis-information in the provider community that LACNY may be closing. LACNY is NOT closing. In fact, the demand for high-quality laboratory services in our community remains strong. Since its inception in 1998, LACNY has been fully committed to delivering high quality, accurate and timely laboratory results with exceptional customer service. We are uniquely aligned and responsive to the needs of the healthcare providers in Central New York and supporting them in the care of patients in our community.
As the region’s largest state licensed laboratory, LACNY provides more than 10 million tests annually throughout Central New York. LACNY has an extensive menu of over 1,500 tests and test combinations and is equipped with the latest medical and information system technology. Moving forward, our focus will be on growth in order to continue to meet the ongoing challenges of an ever-changing healthcare environment in Central New York, including opportunities around anticipated future economic growth in the region.
