Collect

One 5 mL lavender (EDTA) top tube.

Also acceptable: serum collected in plain red (no gel) top tube.

Transport

2 mL plasma ambient (Min: 0.6 mL).

  • Transfer plasma to a plastic specimen transport container and mark the specimen type as plasma on the container.
