Collect	1. Outreach patients: Throat swab collected using a red-capped swab with liquid Stuart's transport medium. See the attachment below on how to use the red-capped collector. 2. Hospital patients: Throat swab collected using a white-capped Eswab with liquid Amies.
Transport	Transport ambient or refrigerated.
Stability	Ambient: 2 days; Refrigerated: 6 days
Unacceptable Conditions	Collectors using gel transport media or dry swabs
