Location: Corporate Office of Laboratory Alliance of CNY; Syracuse, NY
ABOUT US: Laboratory Alliance is the area’s largest state-licensed laboratory, providing clinical and anatomic pathology testing to a 16-county region in Central New York. As the laboratory of choice for most local healthcare providers, more than 10 million tests are performed annually at our laboratories at our Operations Center in Liverpool and at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under direct supervision of the Director of Sales and Services, the Accounts Services manager acts as a liaison to each of the member hospitals determining their laboratory needs. May have contact with patients, hospital employees, physicians, pathologists, nursing personnel, visitors, laboratory personnel, vendors, and regulatory or accrediting agencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Capturing and documenting all customer service issues both hospital and outreach related
- Act as liaison to each of the two member hospitals determining their laboratory needs
- Ensures that all issues are documented and evaluated in conjunction with senior staff and that they are assigned a priority and a responsible party(s)
- Responsible for ensuring that problem resolution is promptly communicated to our customers, and supervising customer service staff
- Other duties assigned, as requested
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma
- Two to three years laboratory experience required
- Position commands excellent oral and written communication skills
- The ability to work under pressure and enjoy customer interaction
- Experience with date entry
- Proven customer service techniques
- Laboratory terminology, required
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS: Moderate to low exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, toxic substances, and other conditions common to a health care environment.

SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Proven interpersonal and communication skills, ability to adapt to changing workload and stressful situations. Knowledge and experience in medical insurance systems, clinical lab testing. Experience in pre-analytical sample/specimen processing. Experience with training/teaching. Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as per state regulations regarding healthcare professionals.
