One 3 mL green (sodium or lithium heparin) or gold (SST) top tube. Also acceptable: lavender or pink (EDTA) top tubes.

Transport

1 mL plasma or serum refrigerated (Min: 0.2 mL). Separate serum or plasma from cells within 1 hour of collection.

Stability After separation from cells: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 1 month; Frozen: 1 year (-20°C)
Unacceptable Conditions

Whole blood or body fluids other than serum or plasma.
